Sanmita is leading the search for a new web developer to join Wheaton’s website staff. This is just one aspect of our growing partnership with Wheaton College, located in Norton, Mass.
Sanmita is helping Wheaton evaluate all of its web infrastructure, and we’re advising on strategies to improve the school’s digital products and platforms. Wheaton is intent on improving and expanding its digital and web capabilities, and we are thrilled to be their partners in this process.
As part of our work with Wheaton, we’re developing plans for a smooth upgrade of SunGard Banner system and its integration with Ellucian’s Luminis portal software. The SunGard Bannner software is a suite of student, financial aid, human resources and financial systems. More than 9000 higher institutions worldwide use the SunGard Banner system, and it works with most portals, content management systems, and reporting and analytical tools.
Ellucian’s Luminis platform is also widely-used by universities and colleges worldwide. The Luminis software supports portals and web services. The system allows higher education institutions to build and maintain web communities, and to manage data to personalize the content. The latest Luminis features allow for multiple contributors to content, such as wikis, and social networking and communication with school communities, such as alumni or student groups.
Wheaton College’s Luminis software powers the college’s MyWheaton portal, a gateway to web content for students, faculty and staff. We’re working with the Wheaton IT and web team to develop and document back-up plans for the future. We will do all of this work with minimal impact on the students and staff.
Our partership with Wheaton College will extend to future projects. One possible area will be developing Wheaton’s mobile strategy, including responsive websites and mobile apps.
